Dwight Kanae’s solo premiere CD is finally here
Dwight Kanae comes forward to the front of the stage with his debut album, the beautiful instrumental guitar collection Haiku. Dwight has played as a supporting musician for such Hawaiian greats as Peter Moon, Moe Keale, Teresa Bright and Herb Ohta, Jr and with the release of this new cd proves that he is a gifted soloist performer.
Much of the play list is inspired by his ancestral home on Oahu's windward side, the districts of Haiku and He'e'ea. Dwight's ancestors once entertained the Hawaiian Alii as they passed through the neighborhood on tour around the island. The virtuosity of this self taught artist will be evident. He learned by watching and playing from small kid time. Sit back and relax, and enjoy the melodies of
Haiku.
